phil369x Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 (edited) Looking to buy a new set of wheels and tires after I lower my Manta A about an 1". I'm thinking 15"x7"for the wheels. The question is what tire size AND offset on the wheel should I ask for when ordering? I don't want guesses; I need a definitive answer since this is a large outlay of cash and it needs to be right the first time. rutts Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Good off set for the a series is what was fitted on the sport versions. 13x7 et20 ats classics. a 15x7 et 20 will fit nicely with 205 50 15 tyres. I have 8x13 ats classics et00 they will stick out on standard arches with 205 60 13 tyres. If you download the tyre and wheel conversion app you can play with off sets. Quote
611 Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 This is what im running on my A series with lowered suspension. and the tyres are 205 x 50 x 15. I did fold the rear arch lip and you might find on full lock revering sometimes they will catch on the front lower valance, so i had to fold the lip on that up a bit to clear. Depends on how low it is and you probably wont know until you fit the wheels and try. 2 Quote

611 Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 (edited) Looks like they do them with a 27 offset https://www.fitmentindustries.com/buy-wheel-offset/1570BYM274100B57/beyern-mesh-15x7-27 If you can get the full spec they should give you the distance from the back of the wheel (the face that goes against you hub/disc face) to the outer lip. Then you can measure and see where the wheel outer will come in relation to the inner of your front or rear wing. For the offset, you basically thake the centre of the wheel if you look at it end on (see pic below) If there is zero offset when you bolt the wheel to your hub you will have 50% inside and 50% outside. A plus offset moves the wheel face out meaning the wheel when bolted on will have a bigger portion of the wheel inside the arch and the for a negative offset more of the wheel outside.
