cam.in.head
hi. best bet then is to either try an old school garage with someone who knows carbs. find a local member who can have a look. find a used carb to try on that is a known working one, hopefully someone must have one. ( all mine are for 2 litre) my money is still on a little blockage in the idling circuit. especially if it revs up and otherwise drives fine above a certain rpm.and especially if it was previously all ok and has suddenly happened .fuel pump prob wont be the issue as it will keep the float chamber full and should idle for a good few minutes if you stopped it pumping by the fuel thats in there. did you try the suction method. that worked on mine. a few revs with my hand blocking the intake sorted it .
