GTEPETE
I have gone up from a 215/40 x 17 to a 225/35 x 17 on a 71/2 inch rim, and the tyre is a nice fit...sidewall to sidewall is 8.5 inches.....
Moonmonkey
Hi Pete I was looking at 225/35x17 but couldn’t find many brands of tyre in that size, and was a little worried about the clearance Looking at it with the 215/40’s there is plenty of room under load. What brand of tyre did you go for?
GTEPETE
Michelin Pilot Sports, but not easy to find in this size...unfortunately, due to me taking me so long to restore my Manta, the tyres will need replacing due to old age! They were standard fitment for the rear of those sporty 2 seater Brabus Smart cars...there are tyre manufacturers who can supply this size...have a look on ebay.. Jessopia74
PS4 are are a great tyre, only thing I fit to my daily. But, Nankin NS2 are pretty solid performers too, not ideal for daily as they do wear quicker as the compound is pretty soft, but more like Pirelli.
