robah Posted July 19, 2022 Share Posted July 19, 2022 (edited) I am at a crossroads with the car, that requires some work to be carried out, and putting the effort in to do it justice. I can no longer work on the car myself as my health won't allow me that pleasure, and that was some of the fun I enjoyed in owning a car like this. This car is a Manta B GTE Exclusive (sunroof removed) with the 400 style body kit, C20XE (standard), and a fair few other mods applied, still in the Monaco Blue colour. Body kit is showing its age especially around the rear wheel wells and filler. I have a amassed a few spares over the past 17 years, including a replacement 400 kit from the original kit moulding process made from an original Irmscher kit. I have a spare XE block and GM cylinder head, with uprated pistons and conrods for a race/rally engine, along with camshafts to suit. I do have a few other spares like gearbox (requires repairs, stuck in gear), front axle near complete spares, and other electrical items etc. too much to list. I was looking at getting the car running and enjoying then slowly uprating the rest of the car, slowly overtime. Some of the Mods made to the car. RetroPower 4 to 2 to 1 Exhaust Manifold (don't make them anymore) in stainless steel. 2.5" exhaust system in Stainless steel JS Performance Silicon Hoses. Opel2000 (Clive) Bling items and Brake Servo strengthened plate, and aluminium kick plates. Uprated cabin Fan (Mantasrme Mod) RetroPower bought Opel Blitz material covered seats front and back. Uprated Front discs (Audi) and callipers Astra GTE, Rear Disc conversion XR3 discs and Serria Callipers and handbrake cable (mod) DOT 5 Brake fluid. Front 8" x 15 Revolution 5 spoke classic wheels in black and silver Rear 9" x 15 Revolution 5 spoke classic wheels in black and silver Adjustable Spax dampers, with a spare set available. Full Super Pro Poly Bushed (purple). Replacement fuel line kit recently fitted from edelschmiede https://www.edelschmiede.com/shop/Complete-set-fuel-pipes-hoses-with-filter-Opel-fuel-injector-cih Fuel Tank applied with slosh tank sealer solution a decade ago. I am looking at around £21,000 OVNO for the car and the spares. Car is currently MOT (16th March 2023), It is Taxed and Insured but will SORN again soon as it is not being used as I would like to. robah Posted September 12, 2022 Author Share Posted September 12, 2022 Some more photos I found of some repairs carried out earlier this year on the chassis rail/jacking point etc. I am open to sensible offers, as it is a waste just sitting on my drive, just starting up and charging the battery. The body filler around the fitted kit (rear arches) has delaminated more, probably due to the hot weather we have had, and probably a good time to change the kit for the spare/replacement one (included in sale).
