Following on from my introduction post, the club policy is only offered to OMOC members. However it is important that when we ask on the phone how you heard of us, you mention the Manta Club,

We are open Monday - Friday , 08:30 - 17:30 and Saturday 08:30 - 12:30

Getting a quote is easy, you can call us on 0345 250 8282.

Email : Cherished.vehicle@aplan.co.uk

Alternatively by filling in the form in the link below. This also has the added benefit of entering you into the draw to win our Porsche 924S. I know it's not a Manta, but it's a lovely 924S which can either be used or if you wish sell on and buy another Manta..........

Any questions? Just ask,

I have multiple classic opels now, so thinking I either go to a multi policy and wrap them all into 1 or keep each individual.

what is the best advice here? They are Garage queens so will never go out much, and with my limited time I will only do a couple if shows per year. Perhaps wrap it in with my daily X3M since that’s a high group car anyway?

Definitely talk to CVI. They do multi car policies and I’ll add my other cars as and when they are up for renewal.

I also got the agreed value. Speak to Ian or Joe.

I’ve had multi car policies before and generally found them to be cheaper, and certainly a lot easier to administer.  I think you do have to keep an eye on the pricing though, as my last company (one of the majors not CVI) did suddenly become significantly(50%+) more expensive last year after 3 or 4 years of being way cheaper than anyone else. So I am currently back to individual policies, but will look to add cars to the CVI policy when the policies are due for renewal and take a view.

I think the benefits with specialist like CVI and others (Eg my TVR is through Manning’s) they are much easier to deal with wrt modifications and agreed values.

Apologies for the late reply, I sneaked off for 48 hours to play in the shed, unsuccessfully may I add!

great to hear Tom came up with the numbers and yes, multi vehicle makes more sense . We are happy to give individual vehicle premiums so you can see how the premium is broken down.

I look forward to agreeing another Manta Value!

Just got a quote from Joe, multi vehicle, and ready once valuations are sorted.  Policy is ready to rock and really looking forward to getting the mantas out and about again.

I have room for one more, the Porsche, poor man's 944 or classic 912, I don't mind.

Those 944 are better handling than any manta, 🤣🤕

Mines just gone off to paint, so be ready soon. Hope to coincide with my main policy.

Just a note. I built up a second NCB in my classic policy, and on my main policy it’s maximum. If I do go multi-vehicle route mixing my daily (think X3Mc is group 46) does it still make sense to put them all together or should I continue separately?

I would need daily & 2-3 classics , but that number will grow as my restoration projects are finished

924s, would look well parked next to my manta. 🤔😉

CVI as Ian said are great, to talk to, they really understand your needs and take into account any personal circumstances.

I've a few other questions next time I'm on the phone, one will be do they provide laid up cover, as some of us only drive them 6 months, usually April to September, ties in with 6 months tax, and our great summer weather 🌦️

I’m planning to add others to my CVI policy as and when they come up for renewal. It makes sense for lots of reasons - It simplifies the management for me, which I like, and I figure the more work I give to one insurer the keener they’ll be for my business. Win win!

I dictated that, and instead of keener, it said bikini when I changed it, it said Tina 🤪

I was considering putting my manta into lay up for this year instead of having it on the road but the price with the Carlton on it too was so reasonable i didn’t need to bother. Both cars still fully comprehensive.

A very genuine question will always get an honest answer rather than a sales pitch from me.

Keeping multi NCB live isn’t an issue.

We will do our absolute best to make the numbers add up, but of course, there will be times when despite our best efforts, another provider can offer a keener rate/benefits etc.

Anyone on the team can see a premium breakdown of the policy, this means that if we are uncompetitive on one vehicle, It can be identified.

But if we need to sharpen the pencil, just let us know.

Another thumbs up for CVI, my renewal with Admiral covering my Manta and my Volvo C70 daily driver on a multi-car policy almost doubled this year. Shame really, I'd liked being with them for the last 4 years.

Spoke to Tom at CVI, got a great quote covering the Volvo as the regular car / Opel as a classic which I gratefully took up.

Also very pleased with the agreed value, in hindsight I'm not even sure what Admiral might have thought the Manta was worth in the event of a total loss or against a repair bill.

Grateful to the club for bringing these guys in 🙂

Cheers,

Scott

Yes give Tom a ring. I don’t know what 0345 number you’ve got but I use 0345 250 8282. There a friendly bunch and I’m sure they will “quote you happy”.
