Brown Job Posted January 24, 2023 Share Posted January 24, 2023 Hi Honey, I'm ho-ome again! Been sold the wrong piston rings and now got the head off so well committed. Not a pretty sight in there, but good news is that the bores are still spot on after nearly 120K and virtually without a step. But the rings are worn, causing loss of compression. Can't seem to find rings in the UK, and can't leave the engine in bits for weeks waiting for something to turn up (or not) from some weird foreign supplier. Does anyone have any 93mm std rings for this engine, or know where they can be bought in UK? Yes, I know, before anyone says it. But occasionally hen's teeth do turn up at the back of a parts bin.
