Probably turn up on Fleabay in a few weeks for triple the money 🙄

Have you got your project back from the body shop yet?

Fraid not, I spent two days on it myself to get it back to bare metal to try and push things along, there is just the Hatch left to strip but he's on holiday until next week. I got more done on it in 2 days than he has done in over a year! I'd take it back but its in bits, I'm at that in too deep to backout stage probably. Sadly killed the backing pad on my sander too and they don't make the spares anymore, going to try a generic and see if I can make it fit rather than ditch a perfectly otherwise good machine.

At least you’ve managed to move things ahead a bit despite the frustrating circumstances.

Did you do that deal on your hatch  at the meet?

Not exactly. The weather was awful and the lad was very busy with other things that day. He had a couple of other projects on the go which meant the timing wasn’t ideal for him so I still have it but thinking it’ll need to move soon. I’m not sure I have built up the patience for fleabay or fb marketplace yet tho 😂

Is it an orbital or block sander, made a backing plate from 4mm rubber sheet. Drilled venting holes by placing thin plywood on top. Let's you drill rubber easily.

I use interface pads on most of my sanders for this reason. They're £6-8 and saves the sander pad from getting trashed.
