BarryD89
Hi having had no luck trying to sell my hatchback, it’s now on a commission sale with this chap. New radiator, new Sportex exhaust, fully recommissioned engine service/belts etc in 2022 (invoiced), and the ultra rare OMOC radiator air guide 🤓 Hopefully, being sold by a dealer instead of a private individual will help. https://www.rfhclassics.co.uk/cars/opel/manta/1.8-exclusive/1229898/
Jessopia74
You might nhate the ideal of this, but it would do better if you was to put a nice set of 1.8 Berlinetta alloys on or GTE ones. It would just set the look off

If it doesn’t sell, I will throw a cover over it and ignore it. 🤓

But the sheet up and keep gets my vote 😎
Sutty2006
It’s really tidy that. I’m surprised it hasn’t sold yet.
®evo03
I'd keep it if possible hard to find another one that looks as good. Apparently the stock markets are winning at the moment, but we all know the funds go back into toys, that drive the price back up. Alot of things are not selling at the moment.
TheRealExile
It would have sold if my other project had been finished, I'm told it will have had a final 2 coats of primer by Monday and then be ready for paint 🙄 I'll even chop the roof off Barry if you still want a convertible 😁
Sutty2006
I think a red coupe came up for sale for an ambitious £28k recently, it would be interesting to know if it’s sold at that price or not. If it has, the values are all over the place!

But the sheet up and keep gets my vote 😎 Sheet /cover could be favourite 😍, I don’t have the build sheet, but I have the original invoices from Camden in Leighton Buzzard, and the story of why it was purchased, why it was taken off the road in 1994, and how it came to be for sale in 2022. To me, as well as being a car from my early driving days, it’s a classic car, not something you buy and improve (even if you use the dealer catalogue) - originality is nice. If the next owner wants to swap the alloys, rip out the interior for a checked/GTE recaro set I’d have no bones (it’s their car) but it can only be original, as per 1989 once.

Original 1.8 hatches are rarer than 16 valve GTEs 🤣🤣 2

TheRealExile
Noticed this has dropped off the dealers fleabay site, did you get a buyer?

I did, it’s gone down to Kent I think. Convoluted PX deal, so the dealer was the right route. I’ve left OMOC goodies in the car, so hopefully the new owner will join or at least visits the forum. Guess I’m here under false pretences until my membership lapses 🤓

TheRealExile
You do like a red car! Looks well, how does it drive?
BarryD89
Nice, but agricultural compared to the Manta. Miss that 5th gear, but Overdrive helps. Still learning my way round but on balance fun. 🤓 1
