Peter Jeffryes
Hi All, Became a Manta Owner last month, after many many years. As a 17 year-old learning to drive in the late 1980s, a chap up the road had a Carmine Red Manta. He took me for a drive in it one day and I have wanted one ever since. 35 years later and the dream came true!

There's a complete set of GTE Ronal in white on eBay currently. I'm keen on the originality of mine and have the original alloys, but be nice to have some wire spoke to (BBS) style to enjoy from time to time. What size are yours?
Sutty2006 Posted Monday at 07:33 Share Posted Monday at 07:33 I like my BMW alloys on mine. But they are a pain to clean, and I’ve been thinking of getting something different.
Irmscher Man Posted Monday at 10:29 Share Posted Monday at 10:29 "Welcome Peter - great looking car you have, and I'm sure you probably know, its one of the very last Mantas you have there too. There are quite a few wheel choices that work well with the Manta, and there are even a few different sorts from within the model range that people tend to experiment with. Personally I really like the ATS Classic wheels, which were fitted to the earlier Manta B. If you can find some 15" ones too, these look great on the later cars (they are hard to find the the UK though). Its great to see a few 1.8 Mantas on here now too, as for a long time there weren't all that many in the club. As we know, many of them suffered at the hands of the 16V conversion, with 1.8 mantas getting bought purely to break for their gearboxes and sumps, with these ending up in various road/rally cars......some not even GM. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the OMOC and find this place useful. We have some great folks on here and you will usually find answers to most of your questions - and usually quite quickly too! To show you are in good company, here is my 1.8 Hatchback in everyone's Marmite colour - White Gold. 5
