Buz Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) Evening. I’ve taken the hard decision to sell my Manta. I’ve decided that I’m going rallying and have bought a rally car so the Manta and the Renault 5 have to go. It’s a very early model , November 1975. Has a few early features that were subsequently removed. As you can see from the photos it’s rusty/ rotten in places. Rotten areas are as follows; Lower rear quarters both sides and sills Front floor sections both sides Rear scuttle Spare wheel well and some of the boot floor swan necks and rails Under the bonnet is rusty/flaky but I think would clean up The roof is in surprisingly good condition with what I have been told is an aftermarket sunroof fitted. Engine bay is in good condition , battery tray is ok . Rear panel is ok but a bit rusty on the seam by the rear lights . Obviously,I would advise anyone interested to come and have a look The interior is complete and the trim is houndstooth but is well worn I have never tried to start it or even turn it over . It does roll freely. I have posted some photos but there are more available for anyone interested. I do have a very good pair of rear quarters in primer , a very good pair of front wings in primer, a rear scuttle cut and a new front lower valance/panel which can be available by separate negotiation. All located in Worcestershire. Price is £1750 but open to any reasonable offer especially if restored 🫣 Anything I’ve missed or any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me . Please excuse the absolute “ Steptoes yard “ mess in the background. This is also on the list to do before rallying starts 😔😔 Apologies for upside down photos . Beyond my skill level 🤣🤣 Edited March 8 by Buz 2 Quote

Buz Posted March 6 Author Posted March 6 The more I look at it the more I want to keep it but I do have to be realistic. I don’t want to put it on EBay. Would really like it to be restored by someone on here. 1 Quote

But at least you acknowledge that and want to give it a chance, rather than leaving it on a grassy knoll somewhere to dissolve. How many cars end up like this 3 Quote
®evo03 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) Was it stored on grass. Worth saving, has to be one of the earliest being 1975. Edited March 6 by ®evo03 1 Quote

I'm sure someone will have it, can't be many of these left at all. 1 Quote
Buz Posted March 6 Author Posted March 6 When I collected it , it was stored on a gravel/hardcore area. I have had it stored in my garage since I’ve owned it. I think I have only seen one earlier one. A white one . 3 Quote

Rapierdave Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Here it is when it was owned by my mate James Coghlan ( Stradacab on the forum). This was back in 2015 7 Quote
