Jessopia74 Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Oh, but guess why not? Perhaps not done by same company but who knows Quote
cam.in.head Posted March 11 Posted March 11 pretty sure crayford designed and magraw built the cav ones but never heard of a manta before ? Quote
Vince Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Thet did make a Manta Centaur but that car isn't one. The B pillars are wrong for a Centaur. Quote
Stephen pye Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 I've seen the centaur, theirs a bright copper metallic V Reg one in Preston that was for sale, he was trying to do a deal with a member on here with a red 1.8 sportshatch. They were definitely based on the mk1 Cavalier. Never seen one based on the Manta. Quote
mantasrme Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Its not a centaur, its also not a coupe. It was converted from a manta B hatchback by one of the companies back in the day that were offering that for virtually any car. I can't remember the company name anymore. The previous owner from wakefield (Wayne from memory) had it done himself then used it for years. Eventually it got parked in his garage and a few years back he decided to sell it on eBay. I popped down to buy something else off him and saw it back in 2018/19 or so. Its certainly different and is a one of a kind as i don't believe anyone else ever did a hatch. This is how it looked when we rolled it out of his garage. Very tidy and had been well stored at that point. From memory the standard parcel shelf is still there and they made the back end of the tailgate into a small boot that actually opens when the hood is up/or down. He sent me these pictures when it was sold with the roof up. In my opinion it looks way better with it down that up. But they did make it look like a hatch 2 Quote
