Guest
So the Manta's in for its MOT this afternoon. I'm expecting it to fail on its handbrake and the front number plate(where's that ruddy V5 when you need it [] ). It's been stood for 10 months now, so perhaps I'm being a bit too hopefull that the tin worm hasn't been too active [xx(] Only needed a few un-sparked turnovers before it roared into life. I'd forgotten how good it sounds [] Carl OMOC 5824
Guest
20 minutes 'til the MOT's finished and I've got no nails left [)] Carl OMOC 5824

Guest
Big time fail [xx(][xx(] Pretty much complete underside needs welding! Really beginning to wish I'd not got rid of the Crapri [!] Even my rot box Skoda didn't need this much welding and grinding. Watch this space, there may be a full set of Billy Shocks/springs and stainless exhaust with bonus car shaped rust coming up for sale [V] Carl OMOC 5824
Guest
Need to tow the car to Manchester on an A-Frame, but I seem to recall some warnings about towing an auto box. Anyone know the do's and don't's? Carl OMOC 5824
h0tr0dder_uk
you would either need to disconnect the prop (if towing by front wheels). Yuo could probably tow in ok if you put the rear wheels in the A frame and locked the steering straight though.
Guest
Yeah I've been thinking about the backend in the air route. With the car a lot lower than standard, I'll have to remove the front airdam [] Carl OMOC 5824
welder
Bad luck mate. I'll lend a hand with welding if you're anywhere near Stoke. I want to be an enigma, or do I?
Guest
Thanks for the offer [] It's coming to Manchester to coincide with a week long visit from the girlfriend family. Alison's Brother-In-Law's going to weld it enough to get it through it's MOT, so it's drivable to Wales for it's eventual restoration...phew!![8D] Carl OMOC 5824
