Right all has not really gone to plan, the Ascona turned out to be as rotten as a pear, major repairs to all common areas and more too.

Bit of recycling has gone one, nothing much has gone to waste. Engine is in the Cavalier, so it the complete Berlina interior.

Gearbox, prop, springs and parts of the old engine are going to convert another Ascona from auto to manual, the headlights I'm keeping, drivers door is going on the Cavalier, rear doors, bootlid, bonnet nose cone, tunnel all kept, Rear panel kept, rear axle and complete front subframe kept, rear screen and all the body mouldings and clips kept, Steve is getting the steering wheel back and the rest of it has been chopped into handy size bits and disposed of sadly.[:(]

The original plan was a Hybrid, get the front of the scone on the Cavalier, then swop everything from the B pillar forward to Ascona spec, trim, interior, carpet, wheels and paint it the orange colour leaving a definate line up over the car where the rear would be a red cavalier, thefront an orange ascona, get a painted weld airbrushed along the colour change just to make a different eye catcher for a laugh.
