Hi All, A few days ago I got lucky and found these on Ebay for £30 - original GM, brand new, never fitted and with all of the original fittings... So the question now is - does the car look better without them?: Or with them?: I'm leaning towards with them fitted, but I'm not 100% yet and I really don't want to drill the car or the mudflaps, then regret it later... Have a nice weekend everyone.

i would. fronts without badges and rears with badges. as original. to me all cars look better with mudflaps makes them look older.same as wing mounted pull up ariels. fantastic.

Hi Ian I would fit them as it will give protection to the lower rear quarter paint work from stone chipping and I personally think it looks better.

Give Autohose Milton a ring. Unsure if they post, but if they can’t, order it and I’ll pick it up for you while I’m walking the dog and send it myself.

Getting close to getting it back now and then can get started on assembly and mechanical. Feels like it's been away a long time.

Or save them for the next project 😂

Yes , buyers premium for £2-£20,000 is 7.5% plus vat and then if you bid online there is an extra 2.5% on top as they don’t run there own online bidding platform

I've used 1/2" on the fuel outlet before with no issues. Just use a decent jubilee clip

It's got a steel torque tube, so that should be ok.

Slow work on the 2.0 engine today. Lifted it up and took the sump off. Oil wasn’t that bad considering it’s not ran for a long time. Sumps a little dented and rusty so I’ve got my spare out but it needs cleaning. Will do that at work over the weekend. For now, it’s on the bench so I can clean it up and replace some seals. first seal to go, rear crank. a little grease round the spring to help it stay put and Bob’s your uncle A lot of paint to get rid of.

The rest of the trim etc will be black too for that reason.

That seems looks as good as anything oem, very cool. And educational too 👍
