  1. Inner skin and outer skin of bonnet isnt welded, it bonded, probably better to use granville seal sealer, it dries hard, slight flex. As for noise, you can buy sheets of sound deading, or was thinkung of foam yoga mats! Bonnet stops are same as any early vauxhall, think nova are the same possibly corsa too! Maybe astra too.

  3. Back from work so getting a few days on the car. just started on the sump. Working with a off the shelf MK2 escort Redtop steel pan and a laser cut flange. Swapped the inlet manifold to a modified 9000 type, found a modded on of FB, weld is a bit cruddy, but it's functional. Exhaust manifold swapped to 9000 type too. Picture shows the larger 9-5 next the tighter 9000 exhaust manifold, and the flip plate that allows the std.manifold to be used for top mounting. I started to modify the x-member too, but more on that once I know the space I am working with.

  4. Excellent! I think I can handle a little sealant. I have a spare yoga mat but I've seen spray on sound deadening which shouldnt be a moisture trap and would be over-paintable. Probably costs more than a cheap yoga mat though. I've messaged the seller but it looks like they might have shut up shop. Edelschmeide is a similar price after tax so if I can find enough to order (which it turns out I can), postage per item will be minimal

  9. Often she looks dark brown then the light changes and she’s Sandy 🤷‍♂️. I started with some easy jobs; Headlights in, Door handles and locks fitted (boot lock mislaid), Rear lights, Badges - so people know what it is 😂, Bonnet struts and catch, VIN plate, Front and rear bumpers reassembled- the powder coating made them hard to reassemble, Bumpers fitted.
