hi. you will need a n/s mirror .manta b,cavalier mk1,ascona b. this theoretically can be fitted to the existing corner piece (wont sit correct without some mods )but better to obtain the correct corner piece with the mirror indentaion/hole biult into it. someone on here will no doubt be akong to offer you one. or pop an ad in the wanted section. to fit it involves removing the door trim complete and unbolting the corner section with runner. there is one on ebay at the moment and the picture shows clearly why youre better off with the correct door mounting.and what you would need to shave off if you didnt .

exactly. not sure of the internals of the spoiler but the overriders are rubber moulded over a metal frame which the stud attaches to internally. the rubber itself should be watertight ! so anything that you can do to stop water getting up the stud and on it should help.especially on a new one . p

All so use copper slip on the stud will stop the nut getting sized onto the studs

Seal it when fitting to stop water going up the threads/getting behind the captive stud.

having not had a car with this type of spoiler i assume its the same issue as occurs on the rubber overiders on chrome bumpers. the metal inside the rubber rusts and swells and the mounting stud falls off.you end up with a crumbly mess !

I made mine from some scrap ally I found at work and it was already white which was handy! A couple of small brackets to hold it on and some bling.
