    Irish blue

Made up for you Wayne. Congratulations 🎉
  2. I have doubt with these being for a manta b. There are definitely two pairs of arches but whichever ones the rear are don’t seem to wrap round enough. I’ve found a photo of i2800 arches for comparison ( the red ones )
  3. I’m pretty sure the P bolt goes in this hole. The hole should be on a different spacing to the rest and a different diameter. The P bolt has a different length of thread It has a different length of threaded section and acts as dowel essentially . It’s more of a diameter thing than a length thing
  4. More of a European look but something different.

  6. If you click on bids it says £150, 000 is the highest bid , from a certain member on here 😳
  7. It looked rough. To be far if I had won the car I would have sorted you out with the guides and the cam sprockets as I know you were looking for them . Then I would have broke the car and sold parts on the senator group. I’m wondering about the pistons in the C30se as I’m sure they are 95mm, but no idea on heights and skirt lengths and even whether it’s worth reusing them even if they are in good condition. Probably best to go down the omega route. Have you seen there is a 1.9 block on eBay at the moment , if you are still looking for one ?
  8. My wife thanks you and has added you to the Christmas card list 😂 Same as you Jess , just the engine really, I want to do two heads at the same time. I think you ought to do the right thing by the car and repair it , it only looks a weekend job 🤔🤪 Could I be cheeky and ask a ball park figure on how much they charged for getting it back to you . It was a long way south 😱
  9. Aah. So it was you that bought it and out bid me 😂😂😂
  10. Sounds like either too much oil , but then you have checked it , or a mechanical blockage. I would drain some oil out first and see if it goes down. If not you need to see if it’s the cylinder or the mechanism that’s stopping it. I had a similar thing with my sealey one and turned out to be a small piece of gravel stopping it Does it go down at all and is it only faulty if raised fully
  11. He has loads of CIH stuff for sale including blocks , heads valves etc .
  12. Have they ever given any indication of what price the panels would retail at ?
  13. Here’s some that were prepared earlier https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Opel-Manta-GTE-Recaro-seats-Capri-Escort-Retro-Daytona-Vauxhall/224414630312?hash=item34402781a8:g:QRsAAOSwAkRgbMep

  15. I have one off a frontera engine. If you pm your address I will post it out to you 👍
  16. That’s pricey. That’s 25% of a rear quarter for goodness sake 😂. Great photo for info though 👍 Welding looks a bit ropey too
  17. Buz

    Panel prices.

The front spoiler from the other post 👍
  18. 0.5mm seems quite a lot of interference to me but might be right ? If it doesn’t tap in easily easily I wouldn’t force it . The steel insert should expand more than the head under normal running conditions keeping it held in so it doesn’t need to be massively tight. You could always spin it on a drill with some Emery on it
  19. Had a look at the engine yesterday and hadn’t noticed the short injector manifolds/ housing. I guess it’s an option. I wonder how the distance from the injection point to inlet would affect performance. I guess with injection it’s less fussy than carbs . Still plan to go throttle bodies though as this opens up possibilities. Also hoping to make a jig from the 3 litre for drilling the chain guide. https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://www.mantawelt.de/cih16v-projectone-08.htm
  20. You could try putting the oil level raiser in the freezer for a while . Have you measured the raiser and the hole for comparison. You could measure the diameter of the raiser and then try the back of a drill in the hole which is 0.1 less diameter.
  21. One of , as I see it , the many positives of this route is the crossflow element which means no hassle with the brake servo. What plans have you got for the manifolds. I’m hoping to have a bash at fabricating some to try and keep costs down which is one of , as i see it , the many negatives of this route 😀
  22. Overland express quote 5 wheels and tyres under 17 inch for 45 + vat which isn’t too bad. The only trouble is now with COVID, some companies require each wheel to be fully wrapped to help limit transmission of the virus
