  1. This. It's cash on collection ffs, unless seller abducts & rapes winner, how would it be a scam. Jesus.
  2. Looks tidy but wtf is going on with the bumpers on the bumpers?
  3. Had that experience too, had my Manta insured with them, reasonable enough but when notified of engine change to C20XE really put the arm into me even though I only had a couple of months left on policy. Now with these guys, £69.00 for the year on a Cavalier coupe with GTE running gear. http://www.oaklandinsurance.co.uk/
  4. Er...do you actually need a bonnet Jack? I'm guessing the OP is offering them for free to someone who needs one, otherwise he could just sell them. Apologies if I've read this wrong and you do need them......
  5. I've found them to be pretty expensive, and they really put the arm in when I informed them of upgrades to my car when changing from 2.0GTE to C20xe.
  6. Not sure where to post this, so mods move if required, but here's a video of DJ Scooter driving a Manta !! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRqAOyXL15Q
  7. Thanks Robah, Simon P, Brilliant post Mantadoc, thanks very much for taking the time to type that out. Very helpful and much appreciated.
  8. Sounds like yours has a GTE manifold, it has six studs to the exhaust afaik. Like this?
  9. Evenin all. I'm currently restoring a C Coupe, and have a Manta 1800 hatch that was accident damaged. I am thinking of using the 1.8 engine and box, and possibly the rear axle. I haven't arched it, and I know the axle will be a tad wide, but will I get away with it? Could I use the front struts/brakes?
  10. Shameless link to my own item, will give a discount to any buyer off here. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271636891318?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271636891318?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  11. Friend of mine is selling his Kadett C coupe. We all know how rarely these come on the market, so thought I'd link it here to try & keep it in good hands . The car is in Dublin and is a rolling shell, and is quite near the docks to Holyhead or Liverpool, so collection isn't that difficult. Some more pics on this thread, though may be better to contact John directly for more info/better pics. He runs this facebook page, so can be contacted there. http://https://www.facebook.com/groups/427832680693463/ Asking price is around the €1000 mark, which is less than £800. Only for sale due to him buying a coupe from Holland which has now been delivered.
  12. Pity he didn't find a mate with a basic grasp of the English language. Asking price of £18,000. Put a bit of effort into the add ffs
  13. Cheers Mantaman, seriously Would love a whiplash aerial, already have fancy horn that plays five or six different tunes but it's only a ten pound jobby of ebay. Would like an 80s 'bullhorn' one. Already have a set ot two up two down spotlight brackets. Want to get a set of brackets copied from them before fitting, and hoping to find four nice Cibies. Not keen on jacking her up though, a step too far maybe, even for me. Not sure on the sidelocks & tash either.......
  14. Did someone say period 70s? This is mine fitted... And new seat covers fitted yesterday
  15. The guy selling them? They look like coupe ones to me, this is a hatch one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REAR-LOUVRE-OPEL-MANTA-NEW-AUTOPLAS-/161374230383?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2592a7576f&nma=true&si=ojibsvQlyuAH6gf0ovJSEO23ZEk%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 This is a pic of my coupe one, looks the very same. http://forums.mantaclub.org/topic/36611-a-love-of-louvres-for-84-manta-coupe/?p=254318

  18. Aren't hatch ones the same? Don't have any, but might help in your search.
  19. Fwiw, the shop is not obliged to sell it at wrong price, neither is he.
  20. Hi Mick, My car has a four branch manifold fitted so didn't use the downpipe but the rest of it fitted really easily. I don't have much to compare it to quality wise but the guy in the garage that fitted it for me said it seemed to be of decent quality, and said it was well made as it required little or no fettling to hang correctly. It's pretty quiet until you give the throttle a blip, then it sounds nice and raspy. Very happy with it. Give them a ring & tell them it was recommended on here by someone who bought one last week (delivered to BT92, Fermanagh) , and tell him if he treats you well you'll spread the word on here.
