  4. when you have flated the runs out. if you take to much paint of you could probabley just repaint that patch. let it dry. then wet and dry over the new and old paint with 1200 grit. then polish up. it works well with 2k but do not no much about your paint. but it should work
  5. a friend of mine has a body shop. and a few years back i watched him remove runs with a tiny round barrel shaped block he used a simple tiny thimble shaped tool with a flat bottom in his finger tips . it was the diamiter of about an aa battery maybe a bit larger. and about an inch long so he could use it in his finger tips. he atached a small roud ,piece of wet and dry to the end then just sanded that small area. i will go and see him see if i can get a photo. it was perfect for getting rid of runs. i would not worry to much about runs even my mate who has owned his own body shop all his life still gets them. its the little tricks to remove them thats key
  6. hi i used my back plates and adjusters. here is the ebay add. he may sell adjusters
  7. the bonnet i had a drip of the gun. and i did not get enough gold paint on i used a high powerd lamp to look close at the coverage of gold before i top coated. but when you stand back the primer is still showing through. i can repaint just that section but im going to wait for it to dry good first. also got a few marks here and there. but the body work on the front was really rough so i can not be to upset.. i have now sold my car so the manta is now going to be my everyday car. so really trying to get it on the road asap. so i do not have to keep using my wifes car

  15. can you get a large pair of water pump pliers on the rear wheel cylinder. then get someone to put pressure on the brake pedal with the engine running, you should not be able to hold the pistons in even with a huge pair of water pump pliers. then you no you have good pressure to the rear calipers. if you aplie the hand brake so its just binding.just grabbing the wheel a little. then pump the pedal a few times . do the rears work of then also are the shoes the correct size for the drums
  16. have you taken the car for a drive. have a good drive use the foot brake and the hand brake try and bed the shoes in. see if it makes any differance with them bedded in if the rear brakes are bleading easy the flow to the rears should be fine. esp if you have fitted new flexis
  17. hi i had problems with rear brakes once i replaced the rear shoes and could not get a good pedal. it turned out the rear drums was so badly worn the new brake shoes was only catching on the edges so the new brake linings was acting like they was made out of rubber.
  18. hi yes use a small hvlp gun as i have only got a small compressor. so i just spray a panel at a time. i have to use a big gun for the filler primer. as my nosel is to small on my hvlp gun to push the thick primer through. thanksi its def not easy the rear quarter taken me 3 days, my finger joints are swolen with all the sanding. but like to see it comming on. hoping the door and front wing are a little more easy
  19. got the rear quarter painted had to flat back to the primer to get rid of the flakey paint.. also fitted new door speakers . fitted cassette rack from ebay just slid in great. new mats ebay £27 great fit new leather gearshift gator of ebay really pleased with that . genuine leather and really thick great quality new number plates ebay £13 the pair delivered bargain also got all the lights working im having a day of today. then i will crack on with the door and front wing hoping to get the side finished this bank holiday
