  1. Nice looking Manta. I'd say the colour looks like it's Signal Red. No idea what the code is however.
  2. Can't disagree with you there! It looks spot-on all round! Nice photos too.
  3. I suspect they will be for a Coupe: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124195990666
  4. It's just the rear seat. He also has a NOS Hatch rear panel: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Opel-Manta-B-Vauxhall-Cavalier-Hatchback-Rear-Panel-NEW-OS/124195989036?hash=item1ceaa8662c:g:uZEAAOSwsKRerbj3
  5. If you have a look at the photos of the 1800KM Exclusive currently up for grabs there are some decent photos showing the gap when new. Best viewed on a tablet as you can zoom in to the details much better than on a PC. https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/opel-manta-b-gsi-exclusiv-neuwagen/1397845926-216-8154?utm_source=copyToPasteboard&utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_medium=social&utm_content=app_ios

In addition with a rare steel sliding roof and green colored glazing. The vehicle has a total mileage of only approx. 1800 kilometers and is still on the first tires. The manta is inside and outside in new car condition without any signs of use !! Technically the car is flawless and drives like a new car !! Here you do not buy a restored craft booth, but a Manta GSI Exclusive in the original factory delivery condition! I have sold several first-class Manta A and Manta B from my private collection all over Europe since 1986. Therefore, enjoy good references at home and abroad. I do not answer letters without greetings or without at least the obvious effort to be polite. Know-it-alls also go nowhere. Likewise, I have no desire for interested parties, where my price is immediately criticized improperly. FIRST CONTACT only by email (only solvent interested parties).
  7. I had the front grill panel on my 87 GTE replaced free gratis just before the 5 year perforation warranty expired. It had almost rusted through above the lights on both sides. It may have helped that I was on very good terms with my local Vauxhall dealer. Interestingly, I later noticed that they had also resprayed along the top of the door sills local to the door seals as that had started to rust as well. Was well pleased. As an aside, never seen it mentioned before, but my GTE had clear vinyl strips on top of the rear wings to stop the standard rear spoiler end pieces marking the paint when closing the boot lid. By the time it was scrapped in 1999 they had worn through which shows they did the trick.
  8. Nice to see this one again. It was a cracker just a few years back. Shame about the rusting sunroof surround. It does have a current MOT with the following remarks: Repair as soon as possible (minor defects): Nearside Rear Registration plate lamp inoperative in the case of multiple lamps or light sources (4.7.1 (b) (i)) Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories): vehicle under seal underneath Nearside Rear Suspension spring mounting prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive (5.3.6 (a) (i)) Offside Rear Suspension spring mounting prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive (5.3.6 (a) (i))
  9. Surprised it hasn't gone at £4995. Not much more than he paid for it.
  10. First for quite a while: https://www.gumtree.com/p/opel/opel-manta-gte-/1371504854
  11. Well done you! That's all going to look rather sumptuous once fitted!👍
  12. At £6K it's probably a good buy given it's obviously been looked after from new. As said previously, just a pity the paintwork has so many blemishes, albeit touched up to keep the corrosion at bay. I quite fancy it myself, but not being a GT/E rules it out. I noticed a well respected bodyshop local to me (Burgess Hill) offering half-price resprays just now due to COVID-19 restrictions etc, but suspect it would still cost circa £2K.
  13. Now dropped to £5995 which seems a far more realistic price: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1222022
  14. It's coming along nicely then! Looking forward to seeing it all finished and back on the road. Not as much as you perhaps! 😀
  15. Saw a link over on Facebook to this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133251265270?fbclid=IwAR2vbgQqJVK5OV3EzOGwoyMGTCd0gA0HYS6szKLapfhwA1OKmGiA840NSdY
  16. I suspect that might well be the case. It certainly looks to be level looking at the sill to ground gap.
  17. Excellent news all round! Good to hear you got the running problems all sorted. Looking spot-on. I'd be tempted to paint the spare wheel well black on the underside.
  18. Wow! Now that's quite something! Looks pretty good given it's been sitting for 20 years! I dare say there will be a bit of work required to get it back on the road. You must be chuffed to bits!
  19. Tidy looking and fairly rare nowadays, being a Coupe. The white alloys don't do it any favours. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1218274
  20. Spot-on! They would look very smart! I'm sure I've read before about some fitting 17 or 18 inch wheels to Manta's and reverting back down to 15 inch as they ruined the ride etc. What width do you plan on getting? .... and tyre size/profile?
  21. I think that would look spot-on!
  22. The other side is a Tenner cheaper! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Cavalier-MK1-Opel-Manta-B/254470809019?hash=item3b3fa465bb:g:CqwAAOSwTs9eD1Br They look more like later headlamps than early, but stand to be corrected.
  23. Up for £6995 now. Just noticed there's a 142 photos on the seller's website. It does look very nice overall if it weren't for the O/S Front wing. Easily fixed I suppose. http://www.eastlancashireclassics.com/vehicle.php?id=170
  24. Ah, it's still up for sale then! Carl had this on Ebay a month or so ago for a lot less than the current asking price. There's 142 photos on the current seller's website: http://www.eastlancashireclassics.com/vehicle.php?id=170 Apart from the paint blemishes and the O/S front wing, it looks very nice!
