  1. No, it looks like it's still Ian Finlay who is selling it. I'm guessing those photos are taken in a storage unit.
  2. Ha-ha! You never drilled down far enough! 🙂 I'm sure I posted that Ebay link on Friday night somewhere. Definitely on Facebook but it was late.
  3. "Four former keepers are noted on the V5C, with the last owning it since 1988." One wonders how many miles it did in the first 2 years given it had 3 owners in that brief time. And who would paint the rear apron with black underseal! I thought that died out with Mk3 Cortina's and the like. Still wearing Goodyear Eagle NCT's. They must be a good age now. Still looks worth a punt though.

  5. Sounds like a bargain at that price. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1987-Opel-Manta-2-2-Irmscher-Exclusive-Coupe-/274983717681?
  6. TBH, despite outwardly looking in good condition, I will be surprised if it gets much beyond £4500. If it was a standard SRB it would be worth whatever, but this one is de-chromed, Vinyl roof removed, has later model door cards, the ATS alloys are matt black (which look horrible imho) and it probably needs a full respray. Still a worthwhile buy at the right price.

  8. He also has 2 Ascona's for sale: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185099373038
  9. I think they called that 'additional soundproofing' on the Berlinetta & GTE! 😄
  10. Definitely not on 87MY cars, and just looking through the 88MY brochure, they didn't either. It was the first thing I bought after taking delivery of mine. I suspect this GT Exclusive needs stripping and resprayed after probably a lot of welding. One thing's for sure, it's worth saving! It's a well detailed description etc.
  11. That's a pity as it looks pretty good in the photos. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265335735972?hash=item3dc73e06a4:g:jl0AAOSwiIhhVrES
  12. The seller is on the Facebook Group. There are a few photos of the Manta with an OMOC sticker on the windscreen. https://www.facebook.com/groups/7372544390/user/1438303364
  13. This post over on Facebook may be of interest.
  14. Back up on Ebay again for £6500: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284468977483
  15. Just reading from the owner over on Facebook that there is an £8500 reserve on it.
  16. A couple of years ago perhaps, but not now. I'd say £7500-£8000 is on the ball for the condition etc. It might go for a bit more if there's a few keen punters after it.
  17. Photos and video now online: https://www.mathewsons.co.uk/product/1985-opel-manta-gtecurrent-v5-present-paperwork-includes-a-couple-of-old-mot-certs-receipts-and-invoices-etc-the-vendor-advises-of-the-following-fully-stripped-repainted-new-clutch-and-new/ It does look very nice. Glass sunroof so presumably fitted aftermarket so no drain tubes etc. May have saved the inner rails from rotting. No corrosion issues on the last 3 MOT's.
  18. It's looking spot-on! Very nice indeed. 👍 As for your question, I would put the Berlinetta decals (and the others) back on. I tend to think it looks a bit bare without them. And it stops folk asking you continuously, what it is! 🙂
