Any notable improvements? Thanks, Lee.
Dan W
Hi Lee, might be the kickdown cable that needs adjusting? Just a thought
stradacab
Yeah, check cable adjustment, also check the govenor vac pipe is not split and the vac unit is good. Could be lots of things, sometimes simple. Is the fluid level right? Has to be checked hot with the engine running, that can cause slippage on change up. Filter may be blocked if fluid is right, brake bands could need adjusting. These transmissions are usually pretty reliable so it may not be as bad as you think. kerplunk
Ah thanks for the info, I'll have a fiddle and see if I can get it any better. It doesn't change up till about 4500 rpm, evem when when accelerating gently. I always end up screaming the engine down the road at in 30mph zones!
