andyth
Hi, I wonder if any one can help me with this small problem. I gave my 1973 Manta A 1600 a service the other day and one of the jobs I wanted to do was check/ change the points. I brought a new set but when I went to change them they were slightly different. The new points have a wire black wire coming off and the existing dont. I have a Delco-Remy distributor I guess the points I have are for a Bosch. I've been back to my local parts shop but the only points they have listed in the book are the ones I have. Can they be altered to fit or what points do I need to be asking for. I'll probaly change to electronic ignition at some time but any help in the mean time would be much appreciated. Andy
stradacab
If you press the spring off the stop you will probably find that the wire will lift off the plastic insulator and is interchangeable with the new set
