dingo30 Posted August 23, 2010 Share Posted August 23, 2010 Hiya everyone,those who read my first post will know ive been looking for a Manta GTE but one that needs work as i own a bodyshop and cashflow is always a problem lol.Anyway ive bought an 85 hatchback with mint early recaro,in my opinion the best one to have. The car is very good mechanically having drove it home 177 miles without any issues at all.Bad news is it is like a patchwork quilt underneath with all the welding thats been done over the years.Its very solid but just ugly,lots of grinding and sealing to be done to the underside. Maybe even fitting a vauxhall redtop engine but want to keep the outside a totally original Manta GTE.Lots of work ahead i think,i will try and get some pictures on soon......Happy Days.
