i2000 Posted February 13, 2012 Share Posted February 13, 2012 hi,while rebuilding my engine i noticed that the most of the engine number had been ground off and restamped,i know the history of the car and it is the original engine,numbers match the log book,i was told that irmscher tuned the engine when it was new could they have done this or is it a factory mistake.it's a 1985 2.0 gte i2000 coupe.it has a raised casting saying 2.0 also stamped P2E thanks.
