Hi,

Your looking at my Opel Manta V8.. It started life as an 1.8 berlineta none sunroof version
That was abit boring so had the folowing work done on it. Most of the tubbing out was done when i got the car 10 years ago and has been done to a very high standard.

My orignal plan was to strip the car and sort out the 2 dents (one in the front wing and one in the front 4 slot pannel then respray it )

This car has had extensive work done on it mostley by my self over the last 10 years or so.

Here is the list of work that has been done.
Rear end has been tubbed
Ford 9" rear axel (shortend)
The ajustable rear shocks and ladder bars (see pictures )
Rover 3.9 v8 runing with orininal Injection
Lt77 gearbox with short shift
Short Propshaft
Twin headlight conversion
Fuel cell tank fitted
4 pot brake conversion with drilled disks
NOS bottle and pipe will need pulsoids and fogger to finish
Foot wide Rear imation lambo wheels and Imation fronts to match (see pics)
Recaro Front seats
No carpets in the car at all ( not sure if that a good or a bad point)
Great new micky tompson rears (done about 200 miles tops and no burnouts)

Engine mods ...
Started out as a 3.9 v8 from an old range rover and had the folowing done.
Rebore
New low comp pistons
New bigend shells
ARP crank bolts
ARP head bolts
New Stumppuller cam and folowers
Duplex chain and gears
Heads Fully rebuild and skimed
Rebuilt oil pump
Rover p6 front timing cover
New high tork starter

So this car had an mot about 8 years ago and passed no problems (with the v8)
on the way back from the MOT station the original old 3.5 v8 gave up in a spectacular fasion so decided to do the upgrade to a 3.9 since then it has not been used on the road due to lack of time and pending house move.
This is not the normal manta rust pots that are out there being a none sunroof version has helped plus being kept garaged. I am sure it will need very little work to get it throug another MOT. so on to the list of things to be done ...

Needs a bracket to hold AFM and an air filter
Exhaust could do with a change around curentley side exit (both sides ) and only has a cherry bomb on each side so its loud ... It did pass an MOT like this but think it draws a bit to much atention
The EFI unit needs to be mounted in the pasenger compartment
Need the hydrolic clutch bleeding out . New slave and masters fitted but will need a good bleed
Throtal cable needs to be modified as originaly this was running a 4 barrel Holy carb.
The electric fan is noisy
A bit of a tidy up with the wires would also help put actualy not that bad at all and i will supply some heavy dutey starter cable so you can rerout the main started feed

So at the moment the car is a none runner and hasent been started for about 2 years. I will try and get it running this weekend and have new plugs and leads and cap to fit.

This car will need to be picked up from lenham ME172HN i would suggest a trailer or flat bed truck rather than a tow enless very close

Sure there is loads of stuff i have missed out but any questions please mesage me on here and i will try an answer

This is an eBay add not my car so don't message me. 😁
