Mantaray80
Thought I had put some pics of my car up and was going to update them, but couldn't find it (probably blind!) Anyway, here it is Been off the road since 95! I know the scoop isn't to everyones taste, but I love the 'musclecar' look Wife bought me these for Xmas How it looked a year or so ago Borrowed an 18 off my Calibra... And one off my mates Latest aquisition, a CIH off E-bay. Really want it running this year as I've had it 20 years A few essential spares... The engine is ready to be put back together, with not much needing to be done to it. SOON!

Mantaray80
In two minds about it. Love the smooth look without, but also like the look with. May have to buy myself a spare boot lid to cater for all moods! It's not just space, its time and money. Family usually comes first! You know I've just figured out who you are! (hopefully):grin As you know, its a no-cost project! At least with my RAF gratuity I managed to weasel a reasonable CIH for it, even tho I'd rather have had a V6 or a Redtop or....... You still at Kirton, Mick?

Mantaray80
Oooh, another cali V6...... Your collection always was as bad as mine! At least I'm down to 3 cars now, 2 of which are used every day! Going to ISTS at Donny park this weekend so been getting the Cali up to scratch, but next week I restart the Manta. Do you know what sort of bolts hold the gearbox on? I need to order some longer ones for my engine stand.

H
love the concept, love the boonet and boot... how have you done the headlamps..?
Mantaray80
The headlights are BMW E30 projector lights. The mounts were cut off as they were too big to fit in the Mantas opening. New (if rather scruffy) mounts were fabricated. I do have the 'normal' quad surrounds to go on them (if I can figure out how to mount them), but so many people seem to like how they look, I might make up some recessed surrounds. Trouble is, I know ChrisT is looking at doing this with his one too.
Mantaray80
Managed to get a little bit of time in on the engine. Starting to come together. Got some minor tinworm issues to sort out before it goes in tho, so plenty of time to finish it off.

Slightly perforated, but thankfully nothing major Ripped out the headlining too Anyone know what this panel is? It's completely factory original (original colour and under soundproofing) The floor, awaiting welding and painting
