Retro Power Posted July 7, 2011 Share Posted July 7, 2011 I would get an axle specialist to do it ( and I work on cars for a living, and have no problem rebuilding a manual gearbox etc) It's certainly not a case of just putting it in, you need to set correct mesh and bearing preload, and that's assuming you have the correct diff carrier for the axle ( otherwise it will need a little machining) My local axle place charge around £150 to do a build up and setup, and axles that they have done are always whisper quiet when Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It is not something you do in your driveway, and the new lump needs to be adjustet 100%. I would also go to workshop with it and i have been messing around with Manta´s for 15 years now It is the only thing i would never do myself (i have tried but failed big time!)
