Any Quick Guide To Diff Swap Gte Axel

hi lads

met some of yous at billing lads,i was the irish lad wondering about the manta field,putting the 2ltr "let" in my 400r

looking a quik guide to swaping a quaife diff in place of the standard job,is it an axel out job or whats invoved is it just a matter of pulling the half shafts and dropping it out

I would get an axle specialist to do it ( and I work on cars for a living, and have no problem rebuilding a manual gearbox etc)

It's certainly not a case of just putting it in, you need to set correct mesh and bearing preload, and that's assuming you have the correct diff carrier for the axle ( otherwise it will need a little machining)

My local axle place charge around £150 to do a build up and setup, and axles that they have done are always whisper quiet when

I agree to that. It is not something you do in your driveway, and the new lump needs to be adjustet 100%. I would also go to workshop with it and i have been messing around with Manta´s for 15 years now blink.gif It is the only thing i would never do myself (i have tried but failed big time!)
