Joe
Sorry this is so late, but the Club will have a presence at this event tomorrow (Sunday 28th August) so if anyone fancies popping along to one of England's most beautiful towns to see a collection of interesting old vehicles, come and say hello. Many thanks as usual to Steve Grundy for sorting it out for us. I hope you win the duck race prize this year Sir! Details here: http://www.stamfordr...vents/car-show/ For those of you of an alcoholic imbibing nature, this place will be open too (just across the duck race stream) - recommended by none other than, er, me! (Except the Sole Bay Celebration beer that is - never have I been so bad in the night afterwards....) http://cellarandkitc...d-kitchen-store Edited August 28, 2011 by Joe
Joe
Well, it was a grand day yesterday, so thanks again to Steve and Jayne for sorting it out. The Lancaster was a highlight (and, just for Ben, once again I must stress how good the Vulcan looked too - sorry!) We had six Mantas on the OMOC stand, and it only rained once, which can't be bad. Here's one of my usual awful photos: Stick the Sunday of the August Bank Holiday weekend for 2012 in your diaries now folks.
Retro Power
Quite by chance I was having a weekend break not far away from Stamford, (Wing Hall campsite to be precise!) and happened across this show on a trip out for the day!! A nice collection of metal on display. And yes Joe, the Adnams shop is a nice place - I've been to the one at Holkham Hall in Norfolk, great selection of beer and kitchen gadgets available
