i know that the 'works' rally cars in the British Championship ran more front castor to improve handling, Russel Brooks complains that the stearing on Manta's was very heavy as a result.

This can be achived by moving the spacing washers around on the top arm pivot, wether it would help you i know not.

as for the rear being a live axel there isn't you can do, one possibility is replacing the panhard rod with differant linkages, there is a linkage called a WOB linkthat lowers the roll centre but this would need scary amounts of calculations to work out if it would improve the handling in a way that would benifit you.

Just done a search and found this page about location links for live axles -

heres a link to a disscusion about live rear axles, it describes a WOB link but sadly not with illistrations -

Found a page about a 600cc racer that has a WOB link rear axle, complete with photos and drawing -

Fine tuning suspension is an art with several technical books written on the subject, one thought springs to mind.... WORMS - CAN - OPEN !!!

If you want to keep the live rear axle i would recommend building it as a 4 link setip with the WOB link too. This is what most track and rallycars use. But if you have the possibility to change to individual rear axle setup for instanse from a BMW E30 or similar this i think would give you a big improvement.
