JackA1972
Does anybody know if its possible to change a crack case oil seal on a Manta A 1600 without taking the engine out of the car, mine a little leaky Jack
opel2000
quite a bit of work required to do this properly, as sump has to come off, and you'll simply end up with more oil leaks than usual if you try to do this with the engine in situ. Just do it once and do it properly, take out the engine.
JackA1972
I thought that would be the case, its worth asking:), that's what i will do. thanks jack
andyc
I throught the front oil seal came out from the front, just a case of takeing the front pully off and flicking the seat out. If its the rear crank seal then that can be done bu droping the gear box and flywheel off. If its the sump pand gasket then that is an engine out job Cheers Andy
OPEL PARTS GREECE
There is a oil sump silicon that is used instead of gasket that Renault's had....but it wants very good cleaning and ....at the end you will have a white line on the sump.......so it is better to do it right.....
