Thomas77GR
Hi folks Is there a simple solution to this, I am looking for a DAB type of antenna that I can simply plug in to the socket on the back of the original AM radio. Would that work? There is no antenna at the moment as the old one got vandalised.. Would like to get some ideas - Additionally, has anyone converted their AM radio to be able to plug in an mp3 player? many thanks Thomas
davo
Hi As far as I know you can't convert an old radio, but what I have done is use a Pure incar dab receiver. This is a dab radio receiver that then connects to your existing stereo by using a spare fm frequency. I have this set up. I keep the receiver in the glove box so as to keep the period/ retro look in the car. The receiver also has a mp3 input socket so your can play you mp3 via the receiver. Hope this helps. Shug
I put a 'media player' in instead of old radio. Can connect iphone/ipod/memory stick whatever and control it all from stereo. Cd's and tapes no use in my car!
