ventorafred
Been playing up for a week or so now, but today its died, Now question is, is it a standard unit which fits all Manta B's ? or as its a 2 litre injected - do I need to find a niche one to fit? Looked for the serial number on it, nothing there at all
spiney_norman
Any 1.6, 1.9 or 2.0 starter will be fine, think even 3.0 Senator/Monza ones will work!
manta88
It looks like there is a high torque and low torque versions ,you will need the 1.4kw not the 0.7kw.

lamchop77
Whip the starter off and take off the end plate to expose the innards, knock it gently on the side on a vice and tip it up. See if anything comes out. Auto elecy told me that the bits of brush material that wear etc can get between the magnets and the com causing it to stick...... worth a try!!! worked on my transit motor.
