Year: 1987

Rolling road tested at 140bhp/149lbft

Wheels/Tyres: ATS Cup 15”/Toyo Proxes. The sale also includes the original alloys

Brakes: Front – HiSpec Billet 4 Calipers and 285mm vented discs

Rear – Standard drums

Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve

Suspension: Spax adjustable gas shocks & 40mm lowering springs

Interior: Seats in good condition. Custom solutions kick panels. Pioneer Radio Cassette with CD Changer, speaker pods in front doors, extra amp in boot with speakers/bass box under rear shelf.

Immobiliser: Sigma Cat 2

I have MOT certificates going back to 1997 and receipts for work done since 2006 when the previous owner bought her. There is no current MOT as she has just failed on the emissions with a high hydrocarbon reading. I put that down to there being no valve stem oil seals fitted - she has double valve springs so no room for the seals. The CO was fine.

Most of the decals are not the original type. I have a full set of the correct ones. I’ve left these off in case the new owner wants some paintwork doing. The car had a full respray around 1998, which still looks very good. However there are a few patches in places like around the arches where it’s starting to bubble and there are a few minor areas of corrosion that need attention. Apart from that she is solid.

Price: £3500 ono

Thanks for the 'likes' guys.

Being realistic, I'm not gonna get the asking price whilst she is without an MOT so I'm taking her off the market for now.

I'll get the MOT sorted in the spring and put her up for sale again after that. It shouldn't take much to get her through. She's only done about 400 miles since last having an MOT in 2011.

Sounds a fair approach. Wonder if those high readings are due to oil sat in the head / on the valves whilst being unused for some time, so just maybe needs burning off with a decent bit of load on the engine before going on the MOT test rig.

Yeh John could be. The problem is I can't drive her very far whilst there's no MOT on her lol!. She did get a blast along the A14 for 15 miles on the way to the MOT but perhaps that wasn't enough.

The MOT people said being as the CO reading was so low, I could richen up the mixture and that should bring down the HC's
