Getrag Gearbox

I have a getrag gm 5 speed gearbox with this 2400024590226 on it please can anyone tell me what engines this will fit and how much it is worth.

Easiest way would be to get some pictures up, I doubt even any of us are geeky enough to recognise a part number like that! What did it come from? Which side of the bellhousing is the bulge for the starter on? Condition?

1.8 box is 2400025590226 not geeky just looked

If it's the 1.8 box then it'll bolt onto all sorts, XE, LET, 2.5/3.0 V6, 2.0SEH, just need some fiddling with the clutch probably.

Price wise, still depends on condition. I sold an unknown 1.8 box that hadn't turned in about 15 years for £100 a couple of years back, a known good one may be worth £200 or so.

Starter motor cut out is on the wrong side for a xe redtop engine.

Was sold it as a good gearbox and as a spare for my rwd 2.0 8v vauxhall engine set up but was several years ago and unable to remember what I was told it was out off.

If the starter bulge is on the wrong side for an XE then it's on the wrong side for the SEH/NE engines out of the mk2 and mk3 Cavs as well. Starter bulge on the passenger side means it'll fit CIH engines, starter bulge on the driver's side means XE, SEH etc.

If it's for the CIH then maybe £50.
