How hard was it to get twin exhausts out centre, iv got a universal back box which is pretty samll in height to fit under boot floor but unsure if it'll miss ground, any pics also would be great of back of car so i can decide if i like centre exits

thanks

No mate (in reply to Chris) he's the good looking one on the left of the boot.

It looks a quite healthy clean burning motor on that vid.

I like the bit where someone says "That's not good" as all the oil burnt off the exhaust wrap from the oil leak I still haven't sorted.

Exhaust suddenly got so hot that anything on the wrap instantly turned to smoke and a big belching cloud suddenly appeared, I about shat meself, but quickly realised where the smoke was coming from and comforted myself with this fact,,,, doesn't show up on the vid though, the smoke that is, not me comforting myself.... oooer[:)]

No Mick not a problem really, I always say that "You never put a car on the rollers unless you have driven it hard and know that it is going to take the revs"

Actually it was still producing power at 5800rpm and with no drop off in torque but the V8 reaches reliable valve train at about these revs, was sort of thinking he backed off the accelerator just a little too soon really, but it may have been the shift light blinding him as this is where I have it set at[8D]

Saw some bloke once at the Total Vauxhall show moaning at the Mobile rolling road operators cos his Carlton threw the contents of its radiator out at 6000rpm, he was saying something along the lines to the rr operator that he was driving it too hard on the rollers.................... Muppet

don't know if anyone's looked at the rest of the vids on the top link but there's one called civic-escort-monaro

just as clive was showing off his engine we heard a rumbling and a local guy in his VXR monaro turns up

now that's a proper V8[;)]

didn't put it on the rollers but it sounded very nice (about 1.20 into the vid)[8D]

yeah - i did look at that and can't remember the reasoning now - i think it's something to do with clearance (or alignment) for the pulley at the front

it was driven from the front via two pulleys on a rod running front to back IIRC - if that makes any sense
