Robbie
Been working on this one for a while. Went over with the owner to pick it up on the mainland then brought it home and started stipping. From a distance it didnt look to bad thought the interior needed a lot of tlc. Once it was brought back to the workshop and inspected, the interior was then stripped out and then the rest of the car was taken apart nut and bolt the chassis leg on the drivers side was bad but not the worst problem, The roof was like a sive under the vinyl. just the usual rust at the back of the front valance, seen a lot worse. The front ARB bushes were a tad stubborn and had to be burnt out [] The stripped car mounted onto the transporter ready for it trip over to the mainland to get acid dipped and ecoated at Dudley. It arrived safely at its destination, due to pick it up again around mid December and it will look a lot different then and need loads of holes sorted http://www.mantamagic.com OMOC N,Ireland Rep id="blue"> OMOC 5706 Please dont shoot me it,s only an opinion not a demand Email robbie @ mantamagic.com (without the spaces)
blueosis1
is the place where you taking it the one that did the beetle on the discovery channel last night. if so they did the beetle,a camper van and a mark 1 escort.all went in fully painted and came out fully stripped inside and out.they can dip it in some special primer after all the welding is done so it gets into all the box sections and everywhere. MANTAMAN
Yes this is the same place in Dudley ® I think its the only place in the country that does this type of stripping on items as large as bodyshells. It can throw up a lot of problems you wern't expecting, just take a look at the Billing Project thread about Nick Webb's (Calcol) B series coupe that went for this process. I've got piles of all sorts of Manta parts,i might even have something you need! surplus parts bought, whole cars considerd.
