d384 fhv
Hi all Could anyone tell me what (if any) special tools i would need to change them? Bought the bearing kit the other day need to get all the tools sorted before i start ripping the axle to bits. Cheers
costasa
Do you have the haynes manual? In the manual they show the tools need to do the job and the schematics. Edited March 4, 2010 by costasa

andyc
Are you changing the Diff bearings or the half shaft bearings? If it half shaft then you'll need a nice heavy slide hammer to pull the shafts out and make sure you have new locking collars for the bearings. If its diff bearings you might need new collapsable washer for the pre-load on the pinion shaft Andy
