bones
I'm trying to find out what size and type of sender thread is used on an XE motor as I am fitting Autometer gauges and have been told they need a specific sender . Oil pressure switch and water temp sender thread if anyone can help.
stradacab
Have you tried the Autometer website, they must have an applications list or maybe fitting kits for particular engines?
bones
Autometer are American and I doubt they have spec's for the euro market. As far as I can work out temp sender is metric 27 could be 2.7 ? i'm not sure. And oil sender is metric 1.5 Can anyone shed any light on my figures?? orm09
I think the oil pressure thread is m14x1.5 but not 100% sure.I looked into this because I wanted to connect up the manta gauge and the standard switch won't run it but most aftermarket senders are 1/8 npt thread so an adapter would be needed. Also where the switch is on an xe it looks like it'd be a tight squeeze for a sender.Let me know how you get on cos I need to sort this soon on mine. bones
Thanks for your help guys, a mate of mine has sort of agreed with the sizes listed. I have been side tracked by power steering now so i'll have to put gauge plumbing on hold for now. When I get back on the case i'll post sizes up.
