GTE (2.0 CIH) Piston Rings

hi.

does anyone know where i can get a set of piston rings off the net

for my manta b gte 2.0 ltr CIH fuel injection. Engine stip in progress.

The other thing is, I checked the bearings and they have a lighter shade on the

centre of the shells compaired to the rest of the shell. Does tha mean its

worn. Where can i get a set. Con rod and crank bearings.

Look at the bearing surface if there are any deep scores change the bearings, usually you see the copper colour when the bearings are badly worn, they sund too me like you could get away with using them again although i wouldn't. Use your local machine/engine shop get them to measure the crank and check for you and let them order the besrings (AE still supply them). I wouldn't buy off them off the net, you really don't know the history of them. Get them new, there not that expensive and due to bearing technology moving on the new bearings tend to be better.

Try the German ebay, they have lots of Manta items on there I've had quite a few bits from there myself it's ebay.de and use google translater to translate it in to Enlish. hope this helps, good luck. Ray.
