Ems
Is there a way of checking the temperature senders? I've tried two different ones, one gives a reading of three quarters on the gauge when hot and the other only goes to quarter.

Think its in the manta and carlton manuals. Might have been off a bosch wiring diagram for the LE system. I checked mine, was a case of connecting 2 wires to the sender unit linked to a DVM (multimeter) to check the ohms, plonk it into boiling water and the resistance changes, just can't remember the actual readings!!!! monzta
A more simple way could be to take the sender and connect (but dont mount) then take a pot of boiling water and stick it in, measure the temp using a cooking thermometer and see if the temp gauge in the car follow the thermometer down as the water cools.
