monzta
Hi Gary. No prob. Front suspension is exactly as the GT/E. Except of course for the 256mm vented discs and the 5 lug 120mm boltpattern. Rear axle is a 4 link of sorts and are much alike the Rekord C, D and E types, and parts could be salvaged from this car and recombined on the Manta. It will however need some reinforcing. One of the most interesting differences is the exhaust tunnel on the i400, never could find any drawings of that, but that is an authentic design curiosity that should be implemented on a true 400 replica Oh and the 400 was factory mounted with the normal springs and gaspressure Bilstein shocks and those are still available. (normal Manta´s only had oil dampers) Edited July 18, 2011 by monzta
manta400
front lower arms are different as they have larger diameter ball joints(same as commodore b.) Edited July 18, 2011 by manta400
ascona400r
What sort of money would a genuine 400 rear axle be worth with lsd and arms etc etc. Bought a genuine 400 Manta 'garage' find from UK few weeks back and got 2 complete spare axles amongst the spares.
