bones
I am trying to sort my axle out and came across these shims in a box and was wondering what they are for and where they go. Any ideas?
Alf
They should go between the bearings either side of the Crownwheel and the casing when you set the axle up! Cheers, Alf.

Alf
Hi Andy, Thanks for the offer but it's Bones that's doing the rebuild? How are you? Have you finished your car yet or is it still hanging from the garage roof!!!! Cheers, Alf.

611
Hey Bones No problem, i should be able to get them scanned on tuesday as i have the day off to do Manta stuff! I will do them in a format so you can download and print them off. The workshop manual is so much better that the Haynes one as it even shows you how to make any special tools that you need. I have a little opel blog running for my project so will setup a new page and add them to that and let you know when done. If there are any other sections you need doing let me know and i can then do them at somepoint. www.theopelproject.com Andy
bones
Hi Andy, That sounds spot on , that would be a massive help. Like you say the Haynes one isn't very helpful. I'll have a look at your blog to see the project you have on your hands. Thanks very much
