surfup*
Hi All, Could you give me some advice, I am thinking of stripping down the front calipers, would i require to replace the seal set as a standard thing to do or should I look at the set that is coming out and if all looks well just put them back in place? I do appreciate the advice. Cheers
Kevin Abbott
If you are taking the time to strip and refurbish the caliper then I would put a new seal kit in. They are cheap enough to not take the risk using the 20+ year old ( maybe ) seals Get some proper rubber grease too Cheers Kev
dog321fish
Hi I would recommend a new seal set, what is the point of stripping down just to clean and put the same ones back in? They will probably have age hardened or perished anyway. Pointless stripping down unless you have a new set to fit. You may like to replace the caliper sliders at the same time?
