Sutty2006 Posted December 19, 2012 Share Posted December 19, 2012 (edited) 1998 Astra GLS with the later 1.7 Isuzu turbo diesel engine (ive been told it has the better roller bearing turbo) Mileage - 125,000 MOT - May 8th, 2013 Tax - April 30th, 2013 Usual GLS spec. leather steering wheel, electric windows, central locking, electric mirrors, sunroof, colour coded bits, alloys. since I have owned it I have - Serviced it (engine oil + filter, fuel filter, air filter) - New alternator belt - New wiper blades - Part worn tyre (good tread) - Give it a damn good T-cut (just need to do the passenger doors when it stops raining) Previous owner replaced - Battery - Water pump - Rear brake pipes - And various other bits n pieces It is what it is. Its never let me down. Starts first time everytime. Drives straighter than most modern cars ive owned. Does exactly what it says on the tin and is good on fuel. Its very clean inside and out. Body work has a few stone chips on the bonnet and grill, a dent o/s/r quarter and some rust bubbles coming through in places but easily sorted out.
