Dom400
Hi, Just a quick one, were there any changes to the brake lines during production of the B series Manta? The reason for my question is I want to replace my old lines and fittings with a kit from ebay, before I order it I just wanna confirm that it will actually fit as its for a early B / Cav. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390498988277?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Thanks! mantadoc
NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND IMPLIED OR GIVEN AND NO LIABILITY ACCEPTED Depends on the kit. Older Manta B master cylinder needs a single flare on the pipe to front right where later Manta B (some call it C ) needs a double flare. in same place. Also there are two types of rear brake pressure limiting valves. so lengths may vary. Depends if kit is just a set of rolled up copper pipes with ends on for you to fit. Dom400
I was thinking bout doing it myself, but by the time I have bought the tools and the hardware the price works out to be more than the kit. The worrying thing was I got these pics from the fella that make the kits.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/94651856@N04/8660270264/in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/94651856@N04/8660269734/in/photostream Not really looking that pro, and he states one is metric and the other is imperial! I thought Manta's were all metric! Choices choices choices!

LOL I took about 10 years to start buying new ends as I used to re-use them. It should not be more expensive if you shop around and as long as you trust yourself to do it competantly and safely you can be sure of two things: 1) if you use your eyes they will fit and have the right flares. 2) hard lines are now pence to do fir the rest of your life. he states one is metric and the other is imperial! I thought Manta's were all metric!Never seen an imperial one EVER not on my mates 1972 A type, not on my wife's 1977 Kadett Coupe, not on my 1981 B series and not on any of my GTEs or Exclusives since. However, thar is just my experience
