tony g
Dexron III is compatible and even Dexron 6 can be used , but i'd go with III. Cheap usually from factors etc Tony
madmantamik
According to the manual The original from Opel is a SAE75W-85 API GL4. the box itself is not that bothered about what goes in .my mate is a gm mechanic and they only ever use ATF as mentioned before dexron III will work fine . but you may need to replace your seals after a month or so, the oil is a lot thinner and will leak past a seal that would happily hold a thicker oil. Scribe of Lincoln
Both mine are autos. I would recommend Dexron II if you want to avoid any incontinence issues........ Madmantamik is right.
tony g
I was under the impression the OP's car was an auto, is that not the case? Tony
madmantamik
i really must start reading posts with my specs on , tom childs car is an auto, I would stick to the semi synthetic end of the dextron range i believe the ATF+4 and dexron vI are NOT backward compattible with this box.
