Autocrosser
I've been fitting some powerflex bushes to the front of the cav today and my question is with the top wishbone. The bushes fitted no problem but on the rear bush on the inside the bush has a top hat and the old rubber bush didn't hense I can't get the serrated washer between the bush and the subframe anymore. Is this normal?
dynamytedan
i think i had superflex ones , the washer still went in behind the front bush if i remember right . and i think i had all top hats .. ive got them at work ill have a closer look tomorrow for you i went back to normal bushes shortly after fitting these ,it was too rough and hard for the London bumps . at the time i also changed the top ball joint for negative camber ...im not too sure that was the best thing to do either , it used to go down the motorway like it was on rails , now it corners better/sharper but is very iffy on the strait and under braking . any undulations send it off course . making for a tiring drive . if yours is good at the mo i suggest don't change too much
