Dougs
I put a new rear gearbox seal on when I was rebuilding the a series. Started driving the car last week and it was leaking so I got another seal off ebay and fitted it. I cleaned the shaft up before I fitted it and it looked in really good shape but it's leaking again really badly. I have an old gearbox and the seal on it was 2mm smaller inside size and it was made of metal rather than plastic but all the other sizes were the same. I phoned them today and he thought some earlier models had different seals but he didn't stock them. If anyone has any idea what's happening or where to get them that would be great as I can't find one anywhere Cheers Doug's.
®evo03
If you still have the old original seal or another one, get all the numbers off it, or take it and box to a bearing specialist. Done this before, got a better quality steel seal from them.
