Arkade
My ignition barrel seems to have died on my Manta a. I can start the car but the key no longer seems to click into place and the engine turns straight off. If anyone knows how I can fix this or has an Ignition barrel & key for sale, please let me know. Cheers Edited December 6, 2015 by Arkade
mantadoc
On a Manta B...... Check the spring behind the ignition barrel. With the key in position II (IIRC) and the lower cowling removed a biro refill or drill / allan key pushed in the hole on the side of the barrel usually does the trick for removal. The hole is facing the drivers seat at the top of the cylinder section in the area where the lock goes around the column IIRC. Hopefully someone will have a pic. Hopefully the Manta A is same or similar.
