Berlinetta
My Coupe has it's original Zenith carb and, from what I have read, it's best to replace this with a Weber carb. Anybody here got a spare Weber to sell? Btw, does this need an adapter plate, or other 'modifications, to fit my coupe?
spiney_norman
If you're after an easy swap Webcon still do complete conversion kits with adapters and everything included. Not particularly cheap but not crazy money either I guess. Is there anything actually wrong with your Zenith? If it's still going properly I'd be inclined to leave it
Berlinetta
Thanks for the info. Mine is working ok-ish....it needs to be 'tuned' I'd reckon..it doesnt always run steady and is also running 'rich'...based on the smell of excessive fuel I can get from the car. I've read up the manual about tuning the carb, but it would take a bit of head-scratching to figure it out...a lot of screws to be turned, etc etc
spiney_norman
The advantage with the Weber is simplicity, they're easier to set up and keep in tune. A complete bolt on conversion kit is around £250 if memory serves
